We asked Bob and Angie Cossey Founding Members & Trustees of Stepping Stones, now retired, about their experience of working with Felton Fundraising over the last 30 years, this is what they had to say:
How long have you been working with Felton Fundraising?
Around 25 years
What have you most valued about your partnership with Felton Fundraising?
It is thanks to Felton Fundraising that Stepping Stones was saved from having to close when they first came to us as we were running out of money. Over the years since then Richard and Sarah and the team, very especially Emma, have successfully raised many, many thousands of pounds for us. Other institutions, charities and businesses have supported Stepping Stones financially over the years as well, but it is Felton’s fundraising that has always been the bedrock on which the financial stability of Stepping Stones has rested.
A close relationship and indeed friendship has long been established which has gone beyond fundraising and has included some very sound advice on various charity matters over the years which has been so important to us. 2024 marked 35 years since Stepping Stones was founded.
What have you been able to achieve because of the partnership?
It is thanks to Felton’s support that Stepping Stones has grown from its humble beginnings to the well-respected and successful ever developing charity working with adults with learning disabilities that it is today. Most recently Stepping Stones has been able to buy (as opposed to leasing) a building from which to operate, something which has-been a
long-held objective (dream) of the charity.
